Orange Is The New Red
For the past few furniture markets orange has come on strong. Red tones are leaning to orange or orange/red. Orange is everywhere! What better way to spruce up your home for fall by using this autumnal color.
"Orange Walls!"
As designers, we are doing orange paint on walls in all rooms. We are specifying entire rooms or one feature wall in orange paint. In the past where a dining room wall may have been red, now orange is the go to color. Psychologically, orange promotes hunger.
The beauty of orange is that it can be mixed with many other colors.
Using an orange color in an adult's room can be done. You can use it as an accent color mixed with green. In the past, it may have been used with red or a pinky red. Pillows can be custom-made.
In this tween’s room, gray is used as the accent color--a combination of styles and colors that will grow with him through adolescence. Comforter and pillows are custom made using the following fabrics:
Paint color--orange Benjamin Moore Corlsbud Canyon
Comforter and pillow shams by Century Furniture
Orange throw pillow by Lane Venture
"Window Art Can Be A Color Too!"
Even blinds are moving away from just a neutral color. Graber Crystal Pleat Cellular Shades--Garden Retreat Fiesta and Facets Pumpkin are two options for a pop of color on the window.
"Orange Can Spice Up Your Home Accents!"
If you don’t want to feel the commitment to orange in a large way how about trying a lamp or a vase for just a pop of color?
